Hi, my name is Roger Seymour and i am the lead article writer on a team of 7 very talented writers. We are on a journey to help our readers become more healthy in life, not only physically but mentally as well. Our journey at Keto Matters started back in 2018 when we decided we were finally going to do something about our life and how we felt.

Why Keto?

The diet works by depleting the body of its sugar reserves. As a result, it will start to break down fat for energy. This results in the production of molecules called ketones that the body uses for fuel. When the body burns fats, it can also lead to weight loss.

There are several types of keto diet, including the Standard Ketogenic Diet and the Cyclical Ketogenic Diet.

Ketones produce 30% more energy than glucose, so you don’t have to worry about lack of energy on the Keto diet like you do for most diets!

With a no-carbs motto, you take the most essential stimulator of insulin out of the diet. Which drops insulin levels, enhances fat burning, and lowers inflammation. The order of these three changes inscribes the basic operators of many persistent diseases like insulin stability, swelling, and fat buildup. The blend of carbohydrate restriction and ketones augments brain function and may help prevent and invert Alzheimer’s disease. Conversely, a high-carbohydrate diet is harmful to brain health. All you have to do is treat the Keto diet as marriage, and it doesn’t work if you cheat!

Life Before Keto

Before I was on keto, I was so tired, hungry, and upset about my weight. I knew these things would change if I stuck to healthier eating and working out habits, but I just never could muster the push to actually stick with a diet and working out. That’s when I found Keto and fell in love with the low carb lifestyle. Now that I have shifted to a keto lifestyle, I  have really gotten healthy and fit, lower cholesterol, able to sleep better (and instantly), and not to mention more alert.

If you just followed the diet plan conscientiously for 30 days, you would see a change immediately. You can eat fruit. veggies, and meats. However, you just have to limit your consumption of sugar and carbs. To be honest, limiting carbs was hard for me, but I was able to cook new meals and surprisingly found that what I was eating was healthier and more satisfying for me. I began to test recipes and tweak them to my likings to add to Keto Matters.

Keto For The Win

One of the best things about Keto is that the more overweight/obese you are (that’s going to change for you too), the more probable the ketogenic diet will work for you. We all know that no diet is magic. No diet works without decreasing and lessening your calories and the amount of food you intake. And ordinarily, reducing calories to the point where you can lose weight means that you are hungry for a vital part of the day. Ketosis diminishes hunger so that you spend less time thinking about meals and find it easier to eat within your calorie limit. So you are less likely to feel cravings and longings. It’s a simple diet. There is a clear list of things you can eat and things you can’t.

No Great Thing Comes Easy

Keto Flu: Let’s talk about the side effects. During the diet change, you may undergo uncomfortable and annoying side effects from lowering carbs, which is often called the “Keto Flu.” This gives rise to Hunger, headaches, nausea, fatigue, irritability, constipation, and brain “cloud” that may last for a few days. Sleep and drinking a lot of water will help.

We Are Here To Help

Point blank, following a very high-fat diet, may be challenging to keep up with for most of you. Keeping yourself satisfied with a limited variety of food not being allowed to have some of the more pleasurable foods like fruit, rice dishes, desserts, maybe hard to maintain. That’s where we come in to help! We have created recipes that will make your transition into the Keto diet easy. We’ve even found ways to eat at fast food restaurants while still staying within the confines of the diet. Our goal is to make the Keto Diet practical and sustainable in today’s society.
